Nitish Kumar - Good Governance
All credit to Nitish Kumar, even the Congress admits it :)
A real life changer he has been to his state, lets hope he does not get carried over by his success, but continues to rule the land with integrity.
And hope his ally the BJP helps him do that.

Make a killing, if u get caught, just give it back
Make a killing, if u get caught just give it up and say sorry. Atleast thats what Mr. Yeddyurappa seems to be doing :)
What a world we live in.
All the rules eem to be written for the rich. I would be surprised if someone takes action on Yeddyurappa for comitting this crime in the first place.

Adarsh!!
Just another thing about Adarsh. Is there not even one genuine owner to Adarsh? How could it be?
How can Jairam simply say that he is going to raize down the building? After all the money and time invested in it, you are simply going to bull doze it down? Let the genuine owners have a share in the apartment. For the other apartments, simply auction it off or use it for some government agencies.
By pulling it down, you are only going to lose some more money. What do you readers say??

Adarsh?
In Hindi, it means "Ideal" or maybe it 'meant' ideal.
Today one site gives this definition "In a recent scam in India, a few politicians and bureaucrats, scammed war widows by gifting the apartments meant for them in a Housing Society named Adarsh to their relatives.
This turn of events has led to the use of Adarsh with politicians or anyone corrupt."

This is called change of events :)

Why promote Black money?
With the huge amount tax involved in land transactions, I believe the Government is actually facilitating corruption.
Come on! who would go and sell their land so that they can give 30% of the proceeds to the government, you got to be kidding.
This just induces the person to mark a very small amount on paper for the deal. You got all sorts of agent to do the trick for you. You got jobless advocates sitting ready to sign the affidavit for just 1900/- rupees in Pune (as per the experience of a colleague who just bought a flat).
If you put the tax at 5%, with the huge amount of land transactions happening, you would actually see the revenues of the government grow higher. Does this make sense?

Where is justice for minority?
Did you know? being a minority in India can hurt big time. Thats what the Christians in Orissa found out in 2008.
But the judiciary just does not have the gutts to condemn the perputators of the crime. By November 11th, 121 convicts have been aquitted, inlcuding the key accused. Only 27 convictions so far. Speaks a lot about safe India.
